‘Rosé Rocks!’ is South Africa’s dedicated rosé wine competition which seeks to recognise excellence in rosé winemaking and promote the SA Rosé category. Druk-My-Niet Wine Estate’s T3 Rosé was awarded Gold in the Rosé Rocks 2021. Eamon McLoughlin (the Convenor of Rosé Rocks), says, “This is a great achievement, as the standard this year was incredibly high, with new entrants into the awards and a refined level of execution by winemakers across the board.”
Our T3 Rosé is made from three Iberian grape varieties – Tempranillo (Spain), Tannat (South-west France) and Tinta Amarella (Portugal). These varieties are ideally suited to the warm Paarl climate, and our T3 Rosé is one of our estate’s signature wines. It is also a world-first for this unique combination.
The wine shows aromatic red fruits and watermelon on the nose, and is balanced with lemony acidity and a long finish. It is the perfect partner with savoury beef tail soup, lamb grills, sushi or al fresco summer lunches.
