During the tumultuous Anglo-Boer War, Mapago stood as a beacon of bravery. This war horse, belonging to the Druk-My-Niet owner, navigated treacherous mists in the northern mountains, leading his owner and fellow soldiers to safety. His remarkable instinct saved them from the brink of despair. As a token of deep gratitude, Mapago retired on the lush Druk-My-Niet farm, living out his days in tranquility. A tombstone below the Manor House marks his resting place, a testament to his service, still visited by many today.
The wine exhudes fragrant aromas of red apple, raspberry, watermelon, guava roll and a touch of spice. The palate is vibrant and fresh, with a delectable creamy texture and juicy flavours of summer berries, cherries and pomegranate.
